Photo Montage of the Band 2007

This Photo Montage was done for our School Concert Band by my sister, Moira. She used this song ' I SING THE BODY ELECTRIC ' from the movie soundtrack Fame because it has very a good orchestral music. It also depicts a story of performing arts students and their dreams of being a star... which is very suitable for these young budding musicians of tomorrow. This song really captures the spirit of the KCPPS BAND.

Did you know that ...............

................. that the three-part canon over a bass is one of Pachelbel’s most admired works. In it he combined two of the strictest contrapuntal techniques in a fine display of technical mastery: the bass, a two-bar ostinato, is the foundation of 28 variations, while above this the three violins proceed in two-bar sections in a relentless canon. From a technical point of view, his music for strings makes no virtuoso demands and never exceeds the third position.

What I like about the band

I can get time 2 enjoy, and also have some free time tha studying!
I was attracted 2 band 'cause i seem 2 have an interest in Music(My favorite subject, & also Maths & Science) i am also not really ready 'cause next year, Pamphylia's going away for PSLE! And another year 2009 She's Secondary! i also like auntie nora as she is very encouraging and kind, I promise, once my sister, Jessica, comes to KCPPS next year, i will straight away ask her to join band!!! At first, band seemed uninteresting 2 me. Mr.Ong is very kind 2 us, but he can be quite agressive, sometimes! I also love music, especially singing! I like 2 sing! I actually thought of joining Choir, but that's not more my type. Band had made me more relaxed than Study! Study! & Study!!! When i first joined the band, i was very afraid as i do not know anybody! And i also want 2 thank everyone in the the band as they are very very kind 2 me when i first came 2 main band with Faberlyn!

Our P6 2006 band members................This picture was taken after the school speech day....Just on word to describe this bunch...............Fun!.......I really had a lot of fun with this bunch especially sangju and Leon. Really enjoyed talking to them. We took them out for bowling in December. Besides my son, Esther was also offered a place in the Singapore school of the arts.
